FAQ

I've booked! What happens next?

First, I'm so excited to work with you! The next steps would be to fill out the questionnaire (if you haven't already) and nail down details on the location (pre-determined for mini sessions). We will meet up at the location, I'll guide you through posing and actions to get the best shots, then your part it done! I will then start the process of editing the images, and post a sneak peek or two! When your gallery is ready, you will receive an email with a link to view and download your images!

Can I buy prints?

Once you get the link to your gallery, you can download all your images and purchase prints on your own, or you can but prints directly from your gallery. I have basic prints and some fine art prints (think thick, watercolor type paper) as options. I also have the option to purchase a hardcover photo book of your favorite images from the session! It's beautiful and timeless and saves you from doing all that work!

What if my kids are crazy?

I see it all the time. The stress parents feel about if their kids are behaving during a session. First remember that I'm an elementary school teacher and a mom. Then remember that this is NORMAL. Kids don't always want to sit still and take photos! That's why we move a lot and I'm taking photos A LOT...at all times. I'm constantly reading the situation and adjusting. Rest assured though, we WILL get great photos. And know that crying or irritable kids don't phase me one bit!

What do I wear?

Think about 2 things: the setting of your photo session and the decor of your home. First of all, if your location is outdoors in nature, you can go with casual or dressed up. Softer, richer colors work well with that setting. I'd avoid a ton of green as the MAIN color since that will be the backdrop, and I'd go with variety and interest. Don't feel the need to match too much or everyone will blend together - but if you want everyone to be in the same color scheme (say all creams and neutrals) just add interest with layers, accessories, and texture. For a location that is more urban, you can go with bolder, edgier colors and looks. Second, your home. This only really applies if you are wanting to use a photo/photos for large prints to hang. You want to think about the colors in your home and make sure it would go well together. For example, if your home is very neutral, it might look off to have bright pinks and greens in a large family photo.
